Past Programs/Events:

  • Summer of Screenwriting National Youth Script Contest accepted submissions from youth of all ages across the US. Finalists were judged by FYP founders Audrey Larson & Shay Martin, winners were selected by professional screenwriter Bob Saenz. Sponsors: Final Draft, ShotPro, Shotlister. 
  • Summer of Screenwriting Program online screenwriting exploration for youth. Ran in July and August 2015. Included weekly newsletters, screenwriting challenges, live streams, blog interviews, a discussion group and more! Over 60 kids signed up across the country. Read more about the program and access archives here. 
  • Young Writers Meet-up Screenwriting activities at the Barnes & Noble cafe in Walpole, MA. 
  • Intro to Screenwriting Workshop ran by FYP founders Audrey Larson & Shay Martin at The Binah School in Sharon, MA.
  • Drawing Inspiration LIVE streamed premiere Viewers from all over joined our online premiere of Drawing Inspiration and live stream Q&A with the directors, Audrey Larson & Shay Martin.
  • Drawing Inspiration filming in Mansfield and Sharon, MA in January 2015. 
  • 2nd Birthday Open House at Perduco Education in Mansfield. Welcome presentation by the Founders, Filmmakers Workshop, and Acting Workshop, Birthday Cake & Refreshments! 
  • Countdown Film Screening at Perduco Education in Mansfield. Intro by the Directors and Q&A session after the film showing. 
  • Countdown Premiere at the Walpole Public Library Community Room. Photography on the red-carpet, Countdown premiere screening, Q&A with the Directors, Refreshments & Mingling. 
  • Countdown Wrap Party at the Wilber School Apartments Club Room in Sharon. Party for the cast and crew to celebrate finishing filming. Refreshments, cake, screening the rough-cut of Countdown, watching the bloopers video, games, and filming cast/crew interviews. 
  • Countdown Filming in Sharon over 4 days on February vacation. 
  • Countdown Rehearsals at the Wilber School Apartments Club Room. Cast and crew rehearsed the script and prepared for filming. Always had time for a few fun acting games as well! 
  • Countdown Auditions at the Sharon Community Center. 
  • Kick-off event at the Sharon Public Library. Refreshments, decorating the FYP sign, presentation by the Founders, ice-breaker games, and acting exercises with guest drama teacher Alice Springer.
